Why Qurb exists

Qurb is made by Talha, the founder of Bootstrapped Labs LTD. It started with a simple, slightly embarrassing problem: picking up the phone to read Quran, and putting it down an hour later having read nothing.

Most of us already want to read more Quran. The problem isn't intention, it's distraction. So Qurb does one thing differently: your distracting apps wait until you've read your own daily goal. Not a 30-second timer, not one verse. Your goal. Then Qurb walks with you through the whole Quran, from Al-Fatihah to An-Nas, and celebrates with you when you finish.

What we believe

• Quran first, then the world. The lock protects your intention. It isn't a price you pay to use your phone.
• The Quran stays free. Arabic, translations, transliteration, audio and offline reading are free, with no ads. Only app locking is premium.
• Small and steady. A daily amount you keep beats a big plan you drop.

How we write

The guides on this site are written by Talha. Every Quran verse is quoted with its surah and verse number and the translation we used. We only quote a hadith with its collection and number. We don't give religious rulings; for those, please ask a qualified scholar you trust. Comparisons with other apps link to their sources and the date we checked them. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we'll fix it.
